It keeps a lightweight, low-resolution preview in your Photos app while moving the original high-quality files somewhere cheaper: your local storage for free, or your own cloud such as WebDAV with Pro.

Your timeline, history and memories stay exactly where they were — only the storage bill shrinks. The developer freed up around 190GB from a library of more than 700 videos this way, noting that many of those clips are rarely watched again. Live Photos are archived and restored losslessly, and every file keeps its original capture date and location.

Slimm favors smart compression over blind deletion and leaves you in manual control of each file. It runs on iOS and Mac, with a Pro tier you can unlock through redemption codes.
